Webinar Description

The webinar on tropical cyclones is a modern and comprehensive approach to the most dangerous meteorological phenomenon that a mariner can face. This course covers all the basic knowledge a bridge officer needs to know, such as tropical cyclone structure, naming, the dangerous and navigable semicircle, Rule 1-2-3 and the revised danger zone. Special reference is also made to the way tropical cyclones are symbolized on the surface maps issued by the largest meteorological services in the world (NOAA, JMA) and the way to read the meteorological messages (advisories) is explained. And all this through practical applications, exercises and numerous examples. This particular seminar was chosen by HELMEPA for inclusion in its annual educational program of 2016, and was implemented on the 2nd day of the seminar entitled "Navigation Safety".  (more…)

Προγραμματισμός Σεμιναρίων Εκπαιδευτικής Περιόδου 2023-2024

Κατά την εκπαιδευτική περίοδο 2023-2024 προγραμματίζουμε την υλοποίηση 10 διαδικτυακών σεμιναρίων Μετεωρολογίας. Συνολικά θα γίνουν 5 σεμινάρια Σύγχρονης Ναυτικής Μετεωρολογίας, 3 σεμινάρια για τους Τροπικούς Κυκλώνες και 2 σεμινάρια Μετεωρολογίας για τις Ελληνικές Θάλασσες. Ο προγραμματισμός των σεμιναρίων έχει ως εξής:

Αξίζει να σημειώσουμε ότι στο σεμινάριο Modern Marine Meteorology από φέτος γίνεται ιδιαίτερη αναφορά στους νέους περιβαλλοντικούς κανονισμούς με έμφαση στο CII και πως αυτοί συνδέονται με το σωστό σχεδιασμό της πορείας.

Τα σεμινάρια απευθύνονται σε επαγγελματίες ναυτικούς με εξαίρεση το σεμινάριο Μετεωρολογίας για Ελληνικές Θάλασσες που μπορούν να λάβουν συμμετοχή και μη επαγγελματίες.

Σε περίπτωση Ναυτιλιακών Εταιριών τα σεμινάρια διεξάγονται και στην Αγγλική γλώσσα.
