THE MeteoMarine Since its establishment in 2010, MeteoMarine has been dedicated to advancing meteorological education and promoting a deeper understanding of weather and oceanographic phenomena among maritime professionals and individuals engaged in marine and weather-sensitive activities. Our vision is to contribute to safer, more efficient, and environmentally responsible operations at sea and on land through the dissemination of practical meteorological knowledge. We believe that informed decision-making, supported by a sound understanding of weather forecasting and environmental conditions, is a critical factor in risk management, operational excellence, and the protection of human life and assets. To fulfill this mission, we have developed a comprehensive portfolio of specialized training programs in Marine Meteorology, Weather Forecasting, Tropical Cyclones, and Regional Weather Systems. Our courses combine scientific principles with real-world operational applications, enabling participants to interpret meteorological information with confidence and apply it effectively in their professional activities. Over the years, our educational programs have earned the trust and recognition of the international maritime community. Our seminars have been delivered to leading shipping companies in Greece and abroad, including organizations in Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Russia, and Egypt. Beyond the maritime sector, our expertise has also supported professionals in industries where weather plays a critical operational role, including construction, renewable energy, and infrastructure development. The quality and relevance of our training programs have been acknowledged by respected organizations within the maritime industry. In 2016, our seminar on Tropical Cyclones was selected by HELMEPA as part of its educational program, while our course Modern Marine Meteorology received certification as a Lloyd’s Register Approved Training Course through the Danaos Assessment and Training Center. In the same year, our seminar on the Weather of the Greek Seas was incorporated into the educational activities of the international classification society RINA. A cornerstone of our educational philosophy is the ability to translate complex meteorological concepts into practical, understandable knowledge. Through our programs, participants develop the skills required to assess weather-related risks, interpret forecasts effectively, and make informed operational decisions in a rapidly changing environment. As climate change continues to increase the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events, the need for meteorological awareness has never been greater. Our commitment is to equip professionals and enthusiasts alike with the knowledge and tools necessary to anticipate weather-related challenges, enhance safety, improve operational performance, and strengthen resilience in both marine and terrestrial environments. We are deeply grateful to the thousands of seafarers, maritime professionals, and organizations that have placed their trust in MeteoMarine over the years. Their confidence and support continue to inspire our commitment to excellence in meteorological education and professional training.

Our seminars for professional sailors have been widely recognized by the maritime community as they are taught at the largest shipping companies in Greece and abroad (Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Russia and Egypt). However, our seminars are not limited to the shipping sector, since we have trained executives of construction companies and wind farms in the subject of Meteorology and weather forecasting.

Our seminars have received wide recognition from both the maritime community and respected bodies such as the HELMEPAOur seminar on tropical cyclones was selected by HELMEPA for its educational program in 2016 while in the same year the seminar Modern Marine Meteorology received certification as Lloyd's Register Approved Training Course from the Danaos Assessment and Training Center.

A special place in our educational program is occupied by seminars concerning the Greek Seas, which explain in a simple and understandable way the weather phenomena that affect our country. This particular seminar has already been taught to dozens of skippers, while the Italian classification society RINA in 2016 he included it in his educational activities.

The climate crisis that our planet is experiencing has resulted in weather phenomena becoming increasingly violent and dangerous for safety at sea and on land, with unpleasant consequences in many cases. Unlike other natural phenomena that are impossible to estimate in the future, weather forecasting has made huge leaps in reliability in recent years. The main mission of our seminars is to transmit knowledge about weather phenomena and forecasting, in order to reduce the risk in activities both at sea and on land.

We warmly thank the thousands of sailors and the dozens of companies that have trusted us for over 14 years.
