Seminar Description

Το σεμινάριο Ναυτικής Μετεωρολογίας για τις Ελληνικές Θάλασσες, είναι ένα καινοτόμο σεμινάριο στο οποίο οι συμμετέχοντες μαθαίνουν πρακτικές γνώσεις για τον καιρό στη θάλασσα και όχι μόνο, υπό το πρίσμα πάντα της σύγχρονης μετεωρολογικής επιστήμης. Γνώσεις οι οποίες είναι άμεσα χρησιμοποιήσιμες και θα τους προσδώσουν την απαραίτητη αυτοπεποίθηση και σιγουριά για να αντιμετωπίσουν το σύνθετο καιρό που επικρατεί στη χώρα μας. Το συγκεκριμένο σεμινάριο δεν καλύπτει μόνο θεωρητικές γνώσεις αλλά δίνει πρακτικά παραδείγματα και αποκαλύπτει στους συμμετέχοντες τα μυστικά της ασφαλούς πρόγνωσης του καιρού. Για τη συμμετοχή του δεν απαιτούνται μαθηματικές ή μετεωρολογικές γνώσεις παρά μόνο οι βασικές γνώσεις περιήγησης στο διαδίκτυο. Το σεμινάριο διεξάγεται σε γκρουπ των 9 κατά μέγιστο ατόμων.

Target Audience

The seminar is aimed at professional sailors working in the Greek Seas and the Mediterranean, sailors (professional or not), skippers, owners or operators of speedboats or people who are generally interested in meteorology and are active in the Greek Seas. It is also aimed at professional groups whose work is at sea such as porters, divers, etc. but also at anyone who wants to learn the secrets of the weather in the Greek Seas.

Seminar contents

Wind and isobarics – interaction of wind and land in coastal areas – caves, meltemia, sea breeze, rain forecast – precipitation forecast maps, methodology we follow for wind and rain forecast, practical signs that warn us of a possible change in weather, cold and warm fronts – weather they cause, types of weather that affect our country, squalls – their forecast, meteorology and the Internet – which sites to trust for forecasting and observing the weather in our country? Waves – Significant Wave Height, wave height forecast, Grib Files and OPENCPN.

Το σεμινάριο είναι 8ωρης διάρκειας και ο προγραμματισμός είναι ως εξής: Σάββατο 25/1, ώρα 10:00 – 14:00 και Κυριακή 26/1, ώρα 10:00 – 14:00.

Cost

Το κόστος συμμετοχής ανέρχεται στα 100€ αλλά για εγγραφές έως και τις 21 Ιανουαρίου προσφέρεται έκπτωση 20% και η τιμή διαμορφώνεται στα 80€. Στην παραπάνω τιμή περιλαμβάνονται το βιβλίο των σημειώσεων, η βεβαίωση συμμετοχής, το συνοδευτικό υλικό και τα coffee breaks. The presenter of the seminars is Dr. Nikos MazarakisDr. Nikos Mazarakis is Professor of Marine Meteorology, Visiting Professor at Uninettuno University/Institute for International Maritime Studies and Director of the Greek Office of the weather company STORMGEO. At the same time, he collaborates as a research associate at National Observatory of Athens. He has more than 5500 hours of teaching experience in the field of Marine Meteorology, while in the past he has collaborated with major Athenian newspapers, radio and television stations.
